A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to non-existent email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam emails, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also vital to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
